Description: | From Fresno Greek Festival Website: This years Greek Festival is pulling out all the stops to make this wonderful community event a big hit for its 53rd year.
The St. George Greek Orthodox Church presents the 53rd Annual Fresno Greek Festival! The event will be held on the grounds of the beautiful St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 2219 N. Orchard in Fresno (SW corner of 1st & Clinton) on August 23-25.
An event beloved by the community, this years Greek Fest will be bigger and better; expecting over 30,000 attendees and offering 3 days of fun, food and entertainment. There will be over 40 Greek Themed vendors and exciting new additions to the Festival; cooking demonstrations, expanded kids play area with water slides and youth Olympics, art tours with noted art experts, convenient handicap parking, shuttle service and, back by popular demand, Greek wine tasting.
New food choices include roast lamb dinners, Greek calamari and ouzo snow cones. Entertainment will be provided by the popular Greek band, The Olympians, from Long Beach, along with Greek dancing demonstrations. New Greek backdrops and people dressed in traditional costumes will add flavor for a true Greek experience.
This year there will be five shuttles and one with wheelchair accessibility. We are also adding even more misters to keep everyone cool!
We look forward to seeing you at this much anticipated Greek cultural extravaganza! OPA!
